From ensuring access to affordable healthcare and quality education to strengthening our economy and creating good jobs, we must take action now to protect the American promise. A strong democracy depends on a thriving people who are able to work, support their families, and live with dignity. We must uphold the values that define this nation: health, happiness, and the pursuit of liberty. As healthcare workers, we understand what it means to serve others and get the job done — from the urgency of acute care to the dedication of long-term prevention — and that same spirit must guide our work in preserving our democracy and our shared future.

What we are seeing now, through the “one Big Beautiful Bill,” is the ugly destruction of American families from the greatest assault on our health in a generation. Every congressional vote for this bill and President Trump’s tariffs has taken health insurance away from millions of Americans, made it difficult for women to deliver their babies close to home, and raised the cost of lifesaving medications for everyone.
The republican’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” taxes lifesaving drugs, threatens cancer research, and makes it harder for patients to see their doctors and healthcare providers. This is what Healthcare for Action is fighting to stop—and we need your help to do it.
